The Hotel Bau is imbedded in the calm and relaxing surroundings of Maribor, near the ski-center Pohorje. Within just 5 minutes of driving distance you can reach the Pohorje Mountain or get to the city center. Pohorje offers a variety of sport activities during the winter season: skiing, snowboarding, sledding, cross country skiing, organized activities for groups (like treasure hunts, walk with snow shoes…) and let us not forget the Golden Fox Competition; a classical women's skiing competition in Maribor for the FIS Ski World Cup every year in January ! The staff at the hotel is very friendly and loves to help the guests, when they need arrangements like ski lessons and ski passes or just general information about skiing and weather on Pohorje.

This family run hotel on three floors offers 47 rooms, which are adjusted for people with different wishes and needs. Most of the rooms are also reachable with elevator. The hotel offers double, triple, quadruple and even Family rooms. They include: LCD TV, telephone, hairdryer, a bathroom with a shower. For skiers they also offer a heated ski room and warm drinks by the fire place.

The hotel offers a delicious buffet breakfast. For bigger groups they also offer lunch and dinner (by prior reservation). In the hotel you can find a private wellness center, which offers an intimate private relaxation after a long day of skiing. The wellness offers: three different types of saunas (Finnish, Turkish and infra), relaxation in the massage pool, Kneipp baths and a corner to relax on warm deck chairs. The bus stop next to the hotel offers direct connection to the city Centre, where you can visit the outdoor ice skating ring, visit the Christmas market, enjoy the free concerts or just go for a walk and enjoy the beautiful city Centre with lots of sightseeing’s.
