Hotel Le Refuge de Solaise is located at the very top of Val d’Isère (at 2551 m, no building in France is at a higher altitude), in the heart of nature and only 200 m from the nearest chairlifts.

Le Refuge de Solaise offers 16 rooms, 4 self-catering units and a 14-bed dormitory.

The rooms can accommodate 4 to 6 people and are divided into 4 categories. The Standard rooms include a double or two single beds and a bathroom with a toilet. The Superior rooms also have a small living area with a sofa bed (suitable for 1 person) as well as a separate toilet. The Family rooms can consist of two rooms with a double or two single beds, or a bedroom and an open mezzanine (the rooms with a mezzanine also have a shower which is suitable for persons with reduced mobility). Finally, the Family Suites include a large bedroom with a private bathroom, a mezzanine with three single beds or a double bed and twin beds, and a bathroom. All of the rooms have brilliant views of the village of Val d’Isère or the mountains.

The warm and cosy self-catering units can accommodate between 4 and 18 people. The smallest one is suitable for 4 people and includes a large living area which combines a living room, a dining room, and an equipped kitchen, as well as two bedrooms with separate bathrooms. The units for 10, 12, and 18 people have between 5 and 7 rooms (the largest one also has a dormitory that sleeps 4), as well as a fireplace within the living area.

Your wellbeing will be taken care of at the hotel’s Spa du Refuge where you will find a pool, two hot tubs, two hammams, an outdoor sauna, a gym, yoga courses, and a large selection of massages and beauty treatments by Exertier.

You will find two restaurants on the premises: Le Restaurant du Refuge boasts breath-taking views of the village and the mountains and mostly – but not exclusively – serves traditional French dishes. The other restaurant, L’Italien du Refuge, serves home-made pizzas and delicious pasta. Finally, you can try cheese platters, cold cuts, desserts, aperitifs, etc. at the new Bar du Refuge.

Le Refuge de Solaise also has a ski shop where you can rent ski equipment even before your stay, a storage for ski equipment, luggage storage, a playroom and a boutique.

The hotel is accessible only via the Solaise gondola lift, which takes off from Front du Neige and stops 200 m from the accommodation. If you arrive by car (parking is available upon prior reservation and for an additional fee), a luggage handler will meet you at the meeting point on Rue du Parc des Sports to take your luggage up to the gondola lift. Another employee will meet you at the summit to collect your luggage and take you to the hotel. If you travel by bus and arrive at the bus station, the meeting point is at the Le Garage Restaurant.
