Right at the Ramsau am Dachstein Panorama Trail and surrounded by a majestic mountain backdrop, lies our family and non-smoker hotel Sporthof Austria in a quiet and sunny location. Our 3*** Hotel is an ideal stating point for both your summer and winter activities. The cross-country trails as well as numerous hiking paths go right past our house. The bus stop of the free of charge ski bus, taking you to the family friendly ski resort Ramsau am Dachstein “Kali’s Erlebnispisten” and to the ski area Amadé, with its four interlinked ski resorts Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm, can be reached within a few minutes by foot. After your day out skiing, you are welcome to take advantage of our free pick-up service from the bus stop.

Our bright en-suite rooms for 2 - 3 persons, the spacious family rooms for 4 - 5 persons with two separate bedrooms, two new-built suites with sleeping- and livingroom and the single rooms are furnished with solid wood and have bathroom, WC, SAT-TV, clock radio, safe and a panorama balcony with views to the impressive mountains. Free WLAN is available in the restaurant.

Let us spoil you with culinary treats in the cosy dining room, the newbuilt wintergarden or in the “Zirbenstube” lounge with a tiled stove. Your hosts carefully prepare your meals using selected produce. Whether you indulge yourselves in our rich buffet breakfast, or in our three-course dinner with regional Styrian delicacies and international cuisine, vegetarian creations, barbecues, hearty farmer-buffets, and fondues - every demanding palate will be stoked with our cuisine. For our young guests, there is a particular kids’ menu. Enjoy a sociable evening on our large, sunny terrace with a glass of good wine. Your host Franz is an enthusiastic wine connoisseur and he personally takes care of wine recommendations. We particularly like to serve the “Ramsau Wine” from the Postl vineyard in Southern Styria.

Is there anything more enjoyable than unwinding in our well-being area after an active day out? Treat yourselves in the Finnish Sauna, the Bio Sauna with colour light therapy, the aroma steam bath, the infrared cabin, the hot tub, or in the solarium. For your individual training, there is a stationary bike, a stepper, a cross-trainer, mats, fitballs and a multi-purpose device. Enjoy some quiet moments in our relaxation room with panoramic views.

Your children will certainly not be bored at Sporthof Austria. The large playground with trampoline, swing, rope-bridge, slide, football goal, playhouse, and climbing frame, but also our animals such as goats and rabbits are very popular. A proper playroom with many fun toys, table tennis, badminton, and basketball will keep the kids entertained. Nearby, there is the possibility to go horseback riding, and in winter we take you for a horse-drawn sleigh ride, stopping at one of the traditional mountain huts of Ramsau am Dachstein.
